Gemini 4 Argon is announced: check access in your actual account

The 13 October announcement names Google AI Pro and Ultra. Check the service account, plan and client before treating a missing model as an installation fault.

Google announced Gemini 4 Argon in the Gemini app on 13 October 2026 for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers. If the model is missing, compare your account with that scope first. The announcement does not establish entitlement for every plan, country or managed workspace.

An announcement says a feature is available, but your menu does not show it. Start by identifying the exact product and account covered by the announcement. Access in a developer API, web chat and desktop workspace can differ.

Compare the scope, not just the name

Google’s limits guide covers personal accounts and directs work and school users to separate guidance. Google's Gemini pages list plan and feature conditions. Record the product surface, account type, region and any rollout language in the official source.

Check the account shown inside the service, not only your browser profile. A personal account and a managed work account may have different entitlements.

Check the client and workspace

Confirm the app version using its own update interface and read the documented feature location. For a managed workspace, check whether an administrator controls access. Do not repeatedly reinstall the application when the account itself is not eligible.

Report a precise mismatch

If the documentation covers your setup, save the feature name, source date, app version and what your account displays. Share only the nonprivate parts with support if you contact it. Keep using a documented available workflow while the mismatch is clarified. A launch headline does not justify inventing a button or assuming that every account has completed the rollout.
