Gemini business tools: does “all users” mean free?

The 20 October announcement starts a broad rollout. Check the actual plan, task limits, third-party charges and final download before relying on free access.

Google’s 20 October 2026 announcement introduces a Gemini business landing page, marketing and finance skills, and more connected apps. It says rollout will begin globally for all Gemini app users in the coming days. “All users” describes the rollout audience; it does not promise unlimited free use of every model, image feature or third-party service. Check the whole task before relying on a free account.

“Free AI” may describe a lasting free tier, a temporary trial or a small allowance of credits. These offers behave differently when you return next month. Check the account's actual plan before treating a result as evidence that the whole workflow is free.

Start with one job

For a birthday invitation, you might need a short text and one image. Check those features separately. A service can provide free conversation while limiting image creation or reserving an export format for a paid plan.

Google’s current limits page distinguishes personal accounts without an AI plan from paid plans. It also explains that feature access and usage limits can change with demand. Compare that page with your actual signed-in account. A new business entry point does not remove age, regional, administrator or connected-service requirements.

Inspect the boundary before starting

Look for the allowance, reset rule, trial end date and any payment requirement. Save your own input and the useful output so an expired trial does not become your only copy of the work. Do not enable paid extra usage simply because a button offers to continue.

Choose a small complete workflow

Try a nonprivate sample through creation, revision and download. If the free tier completes all three, it may be enough for that task. If only the preview is free, record the missing step. This comparison is about access and completion; it does not establish which service produces the best answer.

Before connecting a third-party app, identify any separate subscription or billing page. For the invitation example, note whether you could create the text, revise the image and save the final file without starting a trial. Keep the finished invitation yourself. A preview and a recurring subscription are different outcomes.
