Google announced a Review flow for Gemini Notebook on October 19, 2026. It lets you inspect the plan for Slide Decks or Video Overviews before the final artifact renders. The announcement describes a global rollout over the following week, so the controls may not appear in every account immediately.
Fix the plan first
Ask in chat for slides or a video based on the selected sources. Confirm suggested topics and enable Review. Open “Review outline notes” for slides or “Review producer notes” for video. Give concrete feedback before choosing “Proceed.”
For example, ask for a four-part equipment orientation: purpose, setup, one worked example and closing checks. If the plan adds a feature absent from the sources, remove it before rendering rather than correcting a finished video later.
Verify the generated artifact
Compare the final order, labels and claims with the approved plan and sources. A reviewed outline does not guarantee accurate narration, editable exported slides or unlimited regeneration. Check the actual output and account limits separately.
